The contents are verbal art by Gilbert Sorrentino (1929-2006), a comic, layered query utilizing nouns from the poetry of Wallace Stevens.  Sorrentino, an American novelist, short story writer, poet, literary critic, professor, and editor, explored the comic and formal possibilities of language and literature in his fiction and poetry.  The accompanying prints are by David Storey (b. 1948), who "created a sycopated balance with the text's humor and with the type page." (Publisher)

Edition of 85 copies.  This is copy V (5) of 15 bound in full morocco.  Signed on the colophon by author and artist.  Hand bound by Claudia Cohen.
