A Short Account of the Life and Religious Labours of Patience Brayton, Late of Swansey, in the State of Massachusetts

by Patience Brayton

Presented in decorative marbled paper is a wonderful booklet describing the life, labors and travels of Patience Brayton (nee Greene). She was born in Rhode Island in 1733, then she "crossed the river Delaware at Coryell's Ferry into Bucks County." That ferry name once served as the same name for what is now Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, Pennsylvania. This chapter describes her visit to Friends in the Middle and Southern Provinces while chapter II covers her visit to Friends in Great Britain and Ireland. An appendix contains an address she wrote to George III, King of Great Britain. 143 pages. 4.25" by 6.75".

Published by William Phillips. London, UK. 1802
