Includes an intro by the literary critic Waldo Frank. Ephemera included in this book: notice for Hartley's art show, and a clipped review of the book. 254 pages 5.5 X 8.5inches.
Book is inscribed by one of the artists featured in the book: Jennie Van Fleet Cowdery. The 10-page chapter about her is titled: "The Virtues of Amateur Painting."
Very scarce first edition published by: Boni and Liveright, New York. 1921
Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.
