Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD- condition.

  • Blue cloth covers have gilt emblem and title.  
  • Boards show some wear, smudges, scuffing, edgewear.  Corners are bent and frayed, with exposed board.  See photos. 
  • Spine, rounded, with gilt text dimmed and chipped, frayed ends.  See photos.  
  • Binding is tender, with some signs of separation at back cover.  Stitching is visible at many page openings.  See photos. 
  • Green and cream patterned pastedowns show little sign of wear; inner feps show some foxing.
  • Owner's name in pencil on Title Page, on first page of Part I.  See photos.  
  • Interior is gently age-toned.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
  • Text block edges are darkened at head.
