Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD- condition.

• Olive gray cloth covers have gilt title and illustration.  
• Boards show some wear, splitting at shoulders, smudges, edgewear.  Corners are scuffed, with exposed board.
• Spine has gilt text and is bright with frayed ends.
• Binding has a little play, shows cracks at page 17.  See photos. 
• Pastedowns and feps have some moderate foxing, staining.  
• Frontispiece is present and has intact tissue guard with caption.
• Illustrations are bright and clear, plates are tipped-in, tissue guards have illustration shadows, scattered foxing.
• Interior is gently age-toned, with marginal toning.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
• Text block edges have publisher's gray top stain, a few marks, edgewear at foot.

The Century Company's issue of this collection of colored plates representing the illustration output of Arthur Rackham (1867-1939).  No date, possibly 1920s.  Original olive gray cloth with decorative gilt figures and lettering to spine and cover.  Publisher's gray topstain.  Very Good minus with some splitting at shoulders, cracking at first signatures.  Forty-four lovely tipped-in color illustration plates mounted on stiff bound-in sheets, with cover sheets and captions.  Annotated Table of Contents by Rackham; an introduction to Rackham's work by Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch.
