A very good copy, in publisher's blue paper covers with cloth spine, of this first edition autobiography. Cecilia Beaux (1855-1942), Impressionist painter known for her portraiture, was the first woman to teach at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She wrote her autobiography at age 75, in part to capture her family record and in part to recount the adventures of a lifetime spent with many people of note.
Illustrated with photographic plates of works by the artist.
