Title translates to Images from the History of America. Very scarce 1866 publication intended as a juvenile textbook for German-American students. Filled with wonderful B&W illustrations of some of America's most famous places and people such as Niagara Falls, Washington crossing the Delaware and at Valley Forge, Benjamin Franklin at his desk and other scenes such as an Indian hunting buffalo and a father reading to his children by firelight. 80 pages. 6.5" by 8.5".

• Features frontispiece and illustrated title page.
• Pink design stamped boards feature a gilt illustration at the center.
• Boards show wear with darkening to perimeter and soiling to all areas; rear board shows warping to material and small spots of black ink.
• Boards show edgewear with bumping to corners and exposed boards.
• Ffep shows writing in pencil.
• Title page creased at lower corner
• Page 35 has dog ear.
• Scuffing to corners and spine head and tail.
• Front hinge cracked with play.
• .5" tear to ffep at gutter.
• Small chip off back blank endpaper.
• Interior shows significant foxing and staining throughout however text is highly legible.
• Binding appears cracked throughout however binding is secure.
• No writing, highlighting, underlining or other intentional marks.
• Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
