- Illustrations are bright and clear, plates are tipped in.
- Interior, with text annotations on facing pages to plates, is gently age-toned, with decorative printed medallions. Some finger marks in page margins.
- Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.

Folio sized book with color plates and annotation captures the painting career of Abdur Rahman Chughtai (1897-1975), modern Pakistan's first foremost artist. Chughtai created his own style, influenced by Mughal art, miniature painting traditions, and Art Nouveau.
Lovely color plates on generous folio sheets. The book was printed in Lahore, Chughtai's native city, and bound there by the Ambala Bookbinding House (see binder's sticker on front pastedown).
