Pamela Weston (1921-2009), British clarinetist and writer, is the author of two volumes devoted to Clarinet Virtuosi of the Past. For this book, she turned her attention to her contemporaries. The biographical sketches are based on interviews she conducted with each musician.
Photographic portraits of the featured clarinetists by Gerald Drucker (1925-2010) accompany the texts. Drucker was a renowned double bass player and photographer.
