Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

• Black cloth covers have gilt text on spine. 
• Boards show some wear, smudges, scuffing, edgewear.  Corners are bumped, scuffed, with exposed board.  
• Spine has gilt text, with crushed ends.
• Binding is secure; book opens to stitches in some places.  See photos.  
• Brown craft end papers/ pastedowns show little to no sign of age or wear.
• Illustrations are bright and clear.  
• Interior is gently age-toned, with marginal toning, some smudges, a few marks. 
• Text block edges are a little dusty.

Undated, but issued before 1910, this large folio volume is full of examples of ornamental French ironwork of the 17th and 18th centuries.
