This unusual photobook features the work of five world-renowned photographers from VII photo agency who joined with Doctors Without Borders to create this powerful visual journal of the devastating health crisis in the Congo.  With its innovative minimalist design by de.MO, Forgotten War contains seven photographic plates by Joachim Ladefoged, nine by Antonin Kratochvil, eleven by Gary Knight, twelve by Ron Haviv and ten by James Nachtwey—“the leading war photographer of today” (Parr & Badger II:255).  Published coincident with a touring exhibit premiering in New York, September 2005.  With 19 color and 30 duotone plates (most double-page).  Introduction by Simon Robinson and a foreword by Nicolas de Torrenté.
