CONDITION:
- A SCARCE book, in fine condition.
- Spine ends are lightly bumped but still firm and mostly square; corners are sharp.
- Binding is secure.
- Close examination of DJ through Mylar reveals some light scuffing.
- DJ has light to moderate edgewear, including 1/2" chip at head of spine that expands to 1"x1" on back and a closed tear on front, as well as some light chipping at tail of spine, corners and some edges.
- Inside pages are clean and crisp.

Obi/wrapper is torn halfway across at one fold and is moderately worn within expectations from being folded in book.

DESCRIPTION: Intense B&W photos utilize the human form as medium and a means of expression, captured with the camera. Part of Hosoe's early body of work.
- SIGNED by Hosoe in Japanese and English in silver pen on black pastedowns.

- Each series of photos is accompanied by Taro Yamamoto's poetry in Japanese.
- Book presents/opens in Western format, but most text is in Japanese. Title on yellow paper front cover is in English.
- Translation of poetry and essays in book is included with accompanying booklet.
- Includes image and accompanying poetry to Man and Woman #20, a popular Hosoe print.
