A very good copy, albeit with the original etching absent, of this number in the series "Les Maitres Nouveaux." Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978), Italian painter and writer who founded the Metaphysical School, was revered by the Surrealists in interwar Paris. This volume includes an essay on De Chirico by Waldemar George, an art historian and critic, two literary fragments by the artist, plus thirty photo reproductions of works by De Chirico.
A limited edition of 560 copies; this is #58 of the 60 printed on Arches paper.
