History of the 42nd The Rainbow Division

by Walter B. Wolf.

Written by the Commander of the Division, published by its veterans, here is a brief illustrated account of the Rainbow Division. Created from 26 different states all over the US at the time of the declaration of War against Germany in 1917, the Rainbow Division has a long story that is emblematic of the trials and fate reserved to American forces which fought with the French against German invasion. Filled with authentic, revealing black & white photographs and narrated in a detailed chronology, this volume is a tribute to all those who have survived and those who have died in one of History's greatest conflicts. 61 pages. 6 x 9 inches.

Illustrated with black & white photographs. Appendix containing a copy of the letter from the Commander-in-Chief, a table with the organizations of the Rainbow Division, as well as a record of the sectors occupied, with the dates, by the 42nd Division.

Published by: Rand, McNally & Co., New York, 1919.
