A very nice exemplar of the bookmaker's art from The Perishable Press, both understated and extraordinary.  Poems by Jerome Rothenberg, David Antin, Toby Olson, and Robert Duncan, "backtranslated" into Old English by Peter Glassgold.  Page openings present the poems in their original and in translation, with word glossaries and accompanying illustrations drawn and cut by Lester Doré.

The paper is handmade, the typeface chosen to complement the Old English.  Additional type was cut to supply needed characters.

Edition of 110 copies.  Bound by Marta Gomez.
