Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD- condition.

  • Black cloth covers show exposure.  Boards show some rubbing, edgewear.  Corners are scuffed and frayed.  See photos.  
  • Spine has silver text and is sunned, with softened ends.
  • Binding is secure. 
  • Pastedowns and feps are toned, have some staining, signs of adhesion.  See photos. 
  • Illustrations, a block of 31 black and white photographs bound at front of volume are bright, with scattered foxing.  See photos.  
  • Interior exhibits scattered foxing at front, some smudges, a few marks.  See photos. 
  • Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.

First edition copy in publisher's black cloth, lacking dust jacket, shows exposure.  In overall very good minus condition; photo block at front has foxing that intrudes onto Walker Evans' images.
