- Spine is cocked. Gilt text is dimmed, spine is faded, with chipped and frayed ends. See photos.
- Binding is intact. Stitching is visible at some openings, e.g. pages 96-97. See photos.
- Pastedowns and feps are toned and stained, front fep is loose, owner's mark on front fep. See photos.
- Interior has two gatherings darkened and foxed; a stain at pages 332-333, the remainder gently age-toned, with some smudges. See photos.
- Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
