This small collection of poems on the various kings of England from Edward the Fifth to George the Third, constitutes a funny and entertaining ensemble of portraits of the successive monarchs who ruled the nation from the 15th century to the end of the reign of George the Third in 1820. The elegant verse gives an overall idea of the character, qualities of soul, and greatness of each sovereign while the illustrations show a physical portrait of the ruler.
