- Binding is secure, stitches are visible at some openings.
- Interior is tanned throughout, with marginal toning, a few marks. See photos.

A nice copy of an uncommon collection of Blackburn's translations of troubadour poets including Peire Vidal, Sordello, and Bertran de Born. First edition, in the original wraps.
American poet Paul Blackburn (1936-1971) played an important part in the poetry scene, particularly in New York, where he helped fledgling poets develop. He was also an important translator of Provençal poetry, and Proensa was his first major translated work.
