Softback set is overall in VERY GOOD+ condition.

  • White wraps are mostly clean, with black text.  English booklet features black and white photo on back cover; German softcover is As New, sealed in plastic; the pair are wrapped in pink raffia ribbon.  See photos. 
  • Spines have black text and are bright with firm ends.
  • Binding is strong. 
  • Illustrations are bright and clear. 
  • Interior exhibits minimal signs of age and wear.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.

A two-volume publication which accompanied the exhibition Rudi Gernreich: Fashion Will Go Out of Fashion.  First shown at the Neue Galerie Graz, Austria, the exhibit was at the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, from September 15 - November 11, 2001.  The German language volume, in white cloth wraps, is As New, sealed in plastic.  The English language supplement, in white paper wraps, is a translation, with additional text added by the Institute of Contemporary Art.  The pair is bound with pink raffia ribbon.

Rudi Gernreich (1922-1982) was an Austrian-American fashion designer known for his avant-garde designs in the 1960s and for flouting many of fashion's accepted "rules."
