- Pastedowns and feps have some light foxing, damage to edges at rear.

- Illustrations are bright and clear, plates are tipped-in, with inked frames.
- Interior exhibits minimal signs of age. Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.

An overall very good copy of this early edition, circa 1910, of Hodder & Stoughton's Tempest, with fourteen color plates by French-British illustrator Edmund Dulac (1882-1953). Illustrated boards show some wear; interior is unmarked, with generous, readable text. Plates are tipped in, laid onto the page and set into decorative inked borders.
