Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD- condition.

• Dark green covers have gilt text and ornament, blind stamping. 
• Quarter leatherbound.
• Boards show some wear, smudges, scuffing, edgewear.  Corners are worn, frayed, with exposed board.  See photos.
• Spine has remnants of black leather, is cracked and separated. 
• Binding is partially disbound; top board is loose, binding split at page 97.  
• Blue pastedowns and feps have some corner wear, toning. 
• Foldout maps are bright and clear; a little edgewear to a couple of pages, a couple of closed tears at folds, a couple of old repairs.  See photos.
• Interior is gently age-toned, exhibits some light edgewear. 
• Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
• Text block edges have publisher's red ink.

A complete copy of the 1872 State Atlas of New Jersey from Beers Comstock & Cline, Very Good- due to partially disbound state, with all maps Very Good/Very Good+.  In addition to the map plates, many of which are double page sheets and others four-section fold-outs, there is a historical sketch of the state, geological information, gazeteer data on population, post offices, etc.  Following the 122 pages of text and maps is a section of business notices by county.
