Hardback with pamphlet is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

• Mid-brown covers have title in cream and raised "R" on cream badge. 
• Boards show some marks, a small scuff, edgewear.  Corners are scuffed.  See photos.  
• Spine has tan text and is somewhat darkened, with bumped ends, a split at head end.  See photos.  
• Binding is strong.  
• End papers/ pastedowns show little to no sign of age or wear.
• Illustrations, black and white photographs and artists' renderings, are bright and clear.  
• Interior exhibits few signs of age and wear, with some marginal toning.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. 
• Included Price list is staple-bound booklet.

A very scarce showroom catalogue, with price list for July 1955, from the Jens Risom Design firm in New York City.  Jens Risom (1916-2016), was a Danish American furniture designer.  An exemplar of Mid-Century modern design, Risom was one of the first designers to introduce Scandinavian design in the United States, first with Knoll and then with his own design and manufacturing firm.  In the mid-1950s Risom, working with photographer Richard Avedon, launched an advertising campaign with the tagline "The Answer is Risom."  This 1955 furniture catalogue incorporates this ad campaign even as it illustrates the company's product lines.
