Very scarce copy, more so as a signed copy with no inscription. An earlier work by Sabatini was Captain Blood, a swashbuckling adventure that was made into a movie starring Errol Flynn. 327 pages. 5.5" by 7.5".

Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition. 

• Black cloth boards are in excellent condition and feature bright red lettering on front. 
• Boards show moderate scuffing to the corners. 
• Hinges exhibit light play. 
• Spine features inked red lettering and shows creases and a small white streak along the length with scuffing and fraying to head and tail. 
• The gutter between the fly leaf and the half title page is cracked. Please see photos. 
• Title page bears author's signature. 
• Binding is secure. 
• Deckled fore edge. 
• Offsetting to front pastedown and ffep. 
• Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
