One of the "Useful Works" published by T.B. Peterson of Philadelphia, this title appears in London editions as early as 1843, and in Philadelphia through the 1850s. The red cloth covers with gilt illustration are distinctive, reproduced in many subsequent reprintings, including modern paperback issues.
