A very good copy of this handsome edition of The Pilgrim's Progress.  Publisher's blue superfine covers illustrated in gilt.  Some wear at extremities and rippling at spine edge, but interior is very nice.  Plates designed and etched by Willliam Strang (1859-1921) capture key moments along Christian's journey.

Plates printed by F. Goulding, London.  Book printed by Ballantyne, Hanson & Company, Edinburgh and London.
