A Very Good++ copy in its Good DJ, unclipped, with UK and US prices listed.  Scarce First Edition UK printing of the uncommon second Paul Chavasse thriller, an early novel by Harry Patterson pseud. Martin Fallon.  Book is unmarked, tight, with only fault the ding at spine head.  Dust jacket shows wear beneath Mylar, but is entire and original.

Henry (Harry) Patterson (1929-2022) was a prolific and popular author of thrillers and espionage novels.  He wrote under a number of pseudonyms -- James Graham, Martin Fallon, Hugh Marlow, and Jack Higgins.  Patterson's early novels, using his own name as well as these pseudonyms, are thrillers that typically feature hardened, cynical heroes, ruthless villains, and dangerous locales.  Between 1959 and 1974, Patterson published thirty-five such novels, learning his craft.  The Paul Chavasse stories are part of this output.

First Edition.  Printed in the UK.
